In reading this over it just hit me, what is the point of this board? There is nothing but partisanship, the type that all Americans hate. Even if we don't like Bush and his policies, most of us want him to succeed because if he does well WE all do well. And what is it with the staunch conservatives, everything is about doom and gloom if Kerry gets elected. Come on Clinton's years didn't harm too many people. The reality of politics today is that people make up their minds to vote for the lesser of two evils. That is extremely sad. I mean I probably will vote for Kerry, but I certainly have no desire to be in his campaign or donate money. I literally feel forced to choose that way. I am sure there are plenty of people that quietly feel pushed to vote for Bush for whatever reason, I fully support them on their decision. I guess in the end I just realize this room isn't about politics or even debate, it is all about attempting to embarass or demean the other side. And that truly is disgusting. Both sides of the political spectrum are guilty of it in this room. So I wish you all well, I think most of us that try to look at things logically and make decisions based on what we feel is best just don't get anything out of this forum or any other form of overly partisan so-called debate.
GL to you all, may your candidates and views prevail this year and the years to come. One thing I am sure of, America will succeed and continue to be great no matter who is running things because the American people, from the very left to the very right, war protestors to military personnel in Iraq, all want us to go forward and be the best we can be.
